It’s the most wonderful time of year! Get ready for the holidays with us.
Decorating a Thanksgiving or holiday table with antiques can create a warm, nostalgic, and unique ambiance. You can use mismatched antique China for a charming, eclectic look in different styles and patterns can create a layered, collected-over-time feel. Place antique plates or chargers as the base for each setting. Display antique silver flatware especially with the patina of older silver, which adds character and elegance. You could consider polishing the silver for a formal look, or leave it slightly tarnished for a rustic, lived-in feel. Use vintage crystal goblets or etched glassware (like amber, green, or blue depression glass) to add sparkle and sophistication to the table. Use vintage tablecloths, runners, or napkins of different textures and designs, including lace, burlap, damask for elegance and rustic fall vibes. Use an antique wooden tray or box as part of your centerpiece. Fill it with natural elements like pinecones, pumpkins, and seasonal fruits.
